Winter maintenance is an important part of the service package that we offer our customers. Snow removal can be a critical service for many commercial and residential customers. Our snow & ice management service area extends across the majority of Western Suffolk. Pretreatments commence when ground and air temps are close to or will be expected to drop below freezing (32°F), as soon as there is sufficient evidence, either from weather forecasts and/or visual observation of precipitation. Usually this is in the form of snow, but keep in mind, rain can freeze upon ground contact and present hazardous and slippery conditions as well. Snow will be cleared by 9 a.m. providing it has stopped snowing by 4 a.m. Salt or Sand/Salt mix applications can be included with your price or priced separately per application. We are always "On Call" during snow events and can be reached either direct by phone or thru radio dispatch. You are dealing with snow professionals and you can count on us 24/7 all winter long. In addition ... we utilize urethane technology. Most of our Plows are equipped with polyurethane cutting edges. The squeegee action and molding properties of this material allows us to plow your lots down to "bare and black" without the tendency to leave trail-offs. Snow and ice are cleared more quickly and efficiently from your premises while protecting your curbs, entrance aprons, and the odd manhole or drain cover that is not quite flush with the pavement, virtually eliminating the worry and inconvenience of surface repairs in spring. It also glides right over gravel areas and decorative paver drives. To provide an accurate and impartial method of billing our Winter Maintenance customers, we rely on the National Weather Service and their available local observers reports.
